our pastor
Pastor Donald was raised in a Christian home, but it wasn't until he was 17 years old that he finally opened his heart to the Lord. Like many professing Christians, he went through the motions of being a Christian, but didn't truly have a relationship with God. When he was 17, he and his family started attending New Testament Baptist Church in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. It was then that he heard the preaching of the gospel for the first time: that he was a sinner who deserved the eternal punishment of hell; that there was nothing he could do to save himself; and that he must turn from his sin and receive Christ as his Saviour. During one of the Sunday services, he admitted that he was a sinner who was hopelessly lost, and called out to Christ for forgiveness. That day was a turning point in his life. From that moment on, he devoted his life to serving the Lord and helping others.
The following year, Pastor Donald answered God's call upon his life, and began training for the ministry. After several years of training and schooling, he became Assistant Pastor of New Testament Baptist Church. He served there for three years, until the Lord led he and his family to move to Scotland and start an Independent Baptist Church in Scotland.
Pastor Donald currently holds a Doctorate in Religious Education, and a Bachelor’s in Theology from Great Plains Baptist College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA. He has also published a verse-by-verse guide to the book of I Thessalonians.. He and his wife Tabitha have six children: Harold, Katherine, Audrey, Lillian, Eleanor and Rebecca.
